Chorus women’s wellbeing project
The Women’s Therapy Centre has been awarded a grant from the Tampon Tax Fund to benefit women, particularly disadvantaged and isolated women who have experienced gender based violence, domestic violence and sexual abuse.
Our new Chorus women’s wellbeing project is a three-year project that will reduce isolation, increase mental and physical well-being, increase knowledge of women’s services.
We are looking forward to delivering activities that will empower women by increasing their knowledge of where they can get support around issues of domestic violence.
The workshops/groups will take place in house and community spaces London wide. There will also be well-being opportunities to bring women together including ‘Get fit, get healthy’ women’s support group to improve their physical health and wellbeing through practical healthy eating advice, yoga and classes including running a community choir.
During the three years we will work with many partners including Islington Council, Manor Gardens Centre, etc.
